Dr. Jyothi Robertson

Dr. Jyothi V. Robertson was born in Switzerland and raised in the Midwest. After graduating from Princeton University in 1997, she began working at the Center for Comparative Medicine, UC-Davis on post-graduate doctoral research in molecular biology/physiology. Dr. Robertson completed her veterinary degree in 2005 from UC- Davis. Following graduation, Dr. Robertson worked at a private practice in Hayward, CA where she consulted for the Hayward Animal Shelter. After 2 years of consulting, Dr. Robertson decided to devote all her time to shelter medicine and began working exclusively at the Oakland Animal Services. Dr. Robertson's experiences as a shelter veterinarian in Oakland prompted her to pursue a residency in shelter medicine.

Dr. Robertson is interested in infectious disease and international medicine. Dr. Robertson lives in the Bay Area with her husband, daughter, cats, and dogs. She has traveled extensively in Asia, Europe, and South America and hopes to someday assist developing countries in establishing animal sanctuaries and spay/neuter programs.
