Java was just under a year old when I adopted her, not housebroken or leash trained and with terrible kennel cough. She fell asleep in the car on the way home from the pound. She has become the greatest pet I've ever owned - she has taught my other dog how to be a good dog and has mothered my cats. She loves snow and backpacking!
