This guy was the worst puppy and was returned to the shelter may times before we found him. He was so beautiful and happy and solid black. Just a little live wire with brown eyes. He has turned into the best dog and someone I cant imagine our life without. He has proven to be the most valuable asset to our home. He protects my children from danger and on more than one occasion has drug them away from snakes and wedged between them and other animals that had wondered into our yard. He always watches me and just seems to know when I need him at my side and a few unwanted strangers have made very hasty retreats at the sight of him at my side. He has not bitten anyone but he has this look that seems to say "you dont need to be here so leave. NOW!" when needed. But most of the time he is a big lazy baby that loves tummy rubs and summer baths. He really loves summer baths if only to shake on the kids and soak them. He is a short hair mix with Lab, Chow, Elkhound and a few more thrown in there for good measure i'm sure.
