My girl Sara, was an Australian Kelpie mix who was 3 year old when she arrived in a shelter in Virginia in November 2006. She arrived in my life on January 31, 2007. We celebrated her 4th birthday on March 21 (have no idea if that’s an accurate date) amid her battle with Lymphosarcoma. Unfortunately Sara was taken from this world on July 4, 2007, far too soon for such a sweet soul. She graced my life with her presence for 155 wonderful days. Although I don’t know the exact date that she arrived in the humane society, my estimate is that she spent around 80 days in limbo (mostly at a humane society before she was transferred to a foster home group for the last 3 weeks before I adopted her).
