Cindi Delany, DVM

Shelter Veterinarian, Lecturer

Dr. Cindi Delany received her DVM from UC Davis in 2000. As a veterinary student she was very involved with the Canine Medicine Club and the Shelter Dog Rescue Project. She also worked with local animal shelters rescuing animals with medical or behavioral problems. Dr. Delany practices emergency and critical care medicine and spends many of her days off searching the Sacramento and Yolo county shelters for treatable and rehabilitatable dogs to take in to her rescue network. An avid agility dog competitor, Dr. Delany especially enjoys finding homes for future agility athletes.

Dr. Delany works closely with the Koret Shelter Medicine Program by presenting lectures to the shelter medicine class, by assisting in the development of medical protocols as well as by assisting the program with a variety of ongoing special projects.
