Scenario 1: Treatment of a femoral fracture in a puppy – CARETAKER INFORMATION
You are a community member (Good Sam) who found the puppy in a shopping mall parking lot a few days ago dragging its rear left leg and have been caring for it for several days in your home.
You took the puppy to a local veterinarian who diagnosed a femoral fracture and were given a $4-6k estimate for repair, which you cannot afford so you are bringing the puppy into the local shelter as a stray dog
You are not interested in adopting the puppy, but you do have some experience caring for dogs
You do not believe it is correct for people to spend large amounts of money on dogs because they are not humans and there are bigger needs in your community.
You are frustrated with the number of stray dogs in your community and how many of them are not socialized.
