• You are a community member (Good Sam) who found the puppy in a shopping mall parking lot a few days ago dragging its rear left leg and have been caring for it for several days in your home.
• You took the puppy to a local veterinarian who diagnosed a femoral fracture and were given a $4-6k estimate for repair, which you cannot afford so you are bringing the puppy into the local shelter as a stray dog
• You are not interested in adopting the puppy, but you do have some experience caring for dogs
• You do not believe it is correct for people to spend large amounts of money on dogs because they are not humans and there are bigger needs in your community.
• You are frustrated with the number of stray dogs in your community and how many of them are not socialized.
