Emily Leverentz, Program Manager

Emily joined the Koret Shelter Medicine Program in 2022, where she plays a key role in program management by coordinating team efforts and supporting day-to-day operations. She is passionate about improving animal wellbeing and operational efficiency.

Prior to joining KSMP, Emily managed Pet Admissions at a Denver animal shelter, improving systems, establishing clear standards, and guiding daily operations with a focus on compassionate care for both pets and people in the community.

A Colorado native, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors, photography, reading, and time with her husband, Gregg, her dog Biscuit, and her cat, Charlie.
